The 2026 IoT Security Product of the Year recognizes an outstanding product that protects connected devices, networks, applications, data, and users from evolving security threats.

Eligible entries may include embedded security technologies, identity and access management products, device protection systems, network security tools, cloud and edge security platforms, threat detection solutions, vulnerability management products, secure update technologies, and other solutions created to reduce risk across IoT environments.

Strong submissions will demonstrate effective protection, technical rigor, practical implementation, operational scalability, and credible validation through testing, certifications, customer deployments, or measurable security outcomes.

Entry schedule

  • Entries Open: Tuesday, December 1, 2026
  • Early Bird Deadline: Friday, January 15, 2027
  • Final Entry Deadline: Friday, February 12, 2027
  • Winners Announced: Tuesday, March 9, 2027

Entries must be completed and paid by the applicable deadline.

Entry fees

  • Early Bird Entry: $395 through January 15, 2027
  • Standard Entry: $495 through February 12, 2027

Each category submission is treated as a separate entry.

What to submit

Your submission should give judges a clear understanding of the product, the risks it addresses, and the evidence supporting its effectiveness.

  • Product overview: Describe the security product, its intended users, the environments it protects, and its role within the IoT security stack
  • Risk and threat coverage: Explain the vulnerabilities, attack surfaces, operational risks, or compliance challenges the product addresses
  • Technical approach: Describe relevant protection, detection, identity, access control, encryption, monitoring, policy, update, or response capabilities
  • Validation and results: Include test results, certifications, audits, customer outcomes, threat reduction metrics, deployment findings, or third-party validation
  • Implementation and scalability: Explain how the product is integrated, configured, managed, updated, and scaled across connected environments
  • Supporting materials: Provide relevant product documentation, architecture overviews, screenshots, reports, case studies, deployment examples, or customer references

Optional supporting materials may include a product demonstration, technical brief, certification report, security validation document, or reference contact.

Judging criteria

  • Evidence and Measurable Impact, 35%: Strength of the testing, certifications, customer results, deployment evidence, threat reduction, or other proof supporting the product’s effectiveness
  • Innovation and Differentiation, 25%: Technical distinction and the product’s ability to address IoT-specific risks more effectively than existing approaches
  • Execution and Scalability, 25%: Reliability, usability, integration, manageability, performance, and ability to protect growing or diverse connected environments
  • Category Fit, 10%: Clarity and strength of the case that the entry is an exceptional security product created for IoT systems
  • Leadership and Industry Contribution, 5%: Contribution to stronger security practices, greater trust, improved resilience, or safer IoT adoption

Eligibility

  • Open worldwide to companies, organizations, startups, teams, and individuals operating within the Internet of Things
  • The product must have been launched, updated, adopted, validated, or materially enhanced during the 2026 calendar year
  • Commercial hardware, software, platforms, embedded technologies, and managed security products may be entered
  • Entries should include credible evidence of security performance, customer adoption, certifications, testing, threat reduction, or deployment outcomes
  • Organizations may enter multiple categories when each submission represents a legitimate fit

Confidential or sensitive security information may be summarized or redacted, provided the submission includes enough information for judges to evaluate the product fairly.

Submission process

  1. Select the IoT Security Product of the Year category in the 2026 Best of IoT Awards application.
  2. Complete every required field and clearly explain the product’s security capabilities and value.
  3. Upload or link to supporting evidence and relevant security materials.
  4. Submit the application and pay the applicable entry fee before the deadline.

Multiple entries are permitted, although each product or category submission requires a separate application and entry fee.
