2026 IoT Emerging Technology Award Winner: Morse Micro

Morse Micro has been named the winner of the 2026 IoT Emerging Technology Award for its Wi-Fi HaLow IoT 2.0 Connectivity Platform.

Morse Micro’s Wi-Fi HaLow IoT 2.0 Connectivity Platform is designed to help organizations build the next generation of scalable connected systems. Operating in the sub-GHz spectrum, Wi-Fi HaLow extends wireless range and coverage while supporting native IP connectivity and modern security. At the center of the platform is the MM8108 Wi-Fi HaLow SoC, which enables high-throughput, long-range connectivity and high device density for demanding IoT deployments.

The submission made a strong case for Wi-Fi HaLow as an emerging foundation for IoT 2.0: connected systems that are more intelligent, more data-driven, and more capable of supporting real-time applications. By combining kilometer-scale coverage, WPA3 security, support for thousands of devices per access point, and compatibility with standard embedded platforms, Morse Micro is helping reduce deployment complexity while expanding what Wi-Fi-based IoT can support.

The judges were especially impressed by the platform’s ability to bridge a long-standing gap in IoT connectivity. Honorable Mention

iGarden earned an Honorable Mention for its Lawn Mower L AWD Series, a robotic mower combining LiDAR mapping, AI-powered camera detection, adaptive power management, all-wheel-drive slope handling, and wire-free navigation. Among the three iGarden submissions, the L AWD Series presented the strongest emerging technology case by addressing long-standing consumer adoption barriers in robotic lawn care, including boundary wire installation, slope navigation, runtime limitations, and obstacle recognition.
