Its programs highlight technologies, organizations, deployments, and leaders that demonstrate practical advancement, measurable impact, and real-world relevance.

The IoThinkTank awards program was established with the Best of 2023 Awards. Since then, the program has expanded into focused categories covering connected infrastructure, security, edge computing, industrial systems, environmental impact, agriculture, transportation, smart cities, health technology, connectivity, and emerging technologies.

IoThinkTank is a private, independent awards and industry-recognition platform. It is not a government organization and is not affiliated with another awards program.

IoThinkTank reviews its award portfolio as the IoT landscape evolves. New categories may be introduced when meaningful areas of innovation emerge, while existing categories may be updated, consolidated, or retired when appropriate.

Companies, startups, established enterprises, government entities, municipalities, public agencies, institutions, organizations, teams, individuals, and authorized representatives may submit when the entry fits the selected award category and eligibility requirements.

Yes. Government entities, municipalities, public agencies, and other public-sector organizations may submit eligible technologies, platforms, deployments, programs, or projects.

Yes. IoThinkTank accepts submissions from organizations and individuals outside the United States. The entry must fit the selected award category and satisfy the applicable award-year requirements.

Yes. Agencies, PR firms, consultants, and other authorized representatives may submit on behalf of a client, provided they have permission to do so and can supply accurate organization, product, project, and contact information.

Yes. An organization may enter multiple award categories when the submission is relevant to each category. Each category requires a separate, focused entry and its own submission fee.

Yes. Each distinct product, project, platform, deployment, or solution must be submitted separately and is subject to its own entry fee.

Yes. An organization may receive recognition in more than one category or award cycle when its submissions are the strongest fit for those awards. Each entry is evaluated independently against the criteria for its category.

Submissions should focus on work developed, released, updated, deployed, or announced during the applicable award year. Each award page may include additional eligibility requirements based on the category and award cycle.

Entries are submitted through the application form linked from the relevant award-year page once submissions are open. Each award page lists its category focus, schedule, eligibility details, pricing, and application link.

A strong submission should clearly explain the problem being addressed, the technology or approach used, what differentiates the entry, how it has been implemented, and what measurable results or practical benefits it has produced.

Specific evidence, deployment details, customer or stakeholder validation, benchmarks, adoption data, and measurable outcomes help reviewers evaluate an entry more consistently.

Supporting materials may include data sheets, case studies, technical documentation, implementation summaries, product materials, press releases, Q&A responses, customer or stakeholder validation, independent evidence, images, videos, and relevant external links.

Entrants should avoid submitting confidential, sensitive, regulated, or non-public information unless they are authorized and comfortable sharing it for award-review purposes. Any material that should remain confidential must be clearly identified at the time of submission.

Customer or client identity should be included in the submission when possible because it can help substantiate deployment and impact claims. Requests to exclude names or sensitive details from public winner materials must be made in writing at the time of submission.

Edits are not guaranteed after submission. Contact awards@iothinktank.com as soon as possible if you need to correct or update an entry.

IoThinkTank may move an entry, request clarification, recommend another category, or decline the submission if it does not fit the selected award. Category changes are not guaranteed.

Yes. Each category and each distinct product, project, platform, deployment, or solution requires a separate application and entry fee.

Submissions are evaluated through a structured scoring framework that considers innovation and differentiation, evidence and measurable impact, execution and scalability, category alignment, and broader industry contribution.

Criteria may be adapted to reflect the focus of a particular award, but practical innovation, credible evidence, and real-world value remain central to the review process.

Submissions are evaluated by an independent review panel with relevant IoT, technology, and industry experience. Panel composition may vary by category. Judge identities are not routinely published in order to protect independence and reduce outside influence.

No. Detailed scoring weights, individual scorecards, comparative rankings, internal reviewer notes, and deliberations remain confidential. This protects reviewer independence and the integrity of the evaluation process.

Individual scorecards and comparative rankings are not routinely distributed. Upon request, IoThinkTank may provide a brief qualitative summary of submission strengths and areas that could be strengthened in future entries, subject to reviewer availability.

No. Entry fees cover award consideration and program administration only. Payment does not guarantee selection, placement, publication, recognition, or any specific result.

No. IoThinkTank generally recognizes one winner per category, but it is not required to issue an award when submissions do not meet the program’s standards or when the available entries do not support credible recognition.

Yes. IoThinkTank may recognize a runner-up, honorable mention, finalist, or co-winner when the strength of the category, judging results, or editorial considerations support additional recognition.

No. IoThinkTank awards do not include a cash prize. Their value lies in independent industry recognition and in distinguishing submissions that demonstrate exceptional innovation, execution, and real-world impact.

Each award-year page lists its scheduled winner announcement date. Selected organizations are generally notified before the public announcement so they can review relevant winner materials and prepare for publication.

Yes. Winners may issue their own press release or announcement after the official publication date, provided the wording accurately reflects the award name, award year, category, and recognition status.

Yes. Winners may use official IoThinkTank recognition assets according to the badge, trademark, and recognition guidelines provided by IoThinkTank. Recognition must be described accurately and must not imply a broader endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership.

Entry fees vary by award cycle and submission deadline. Current early-bird and standard pricing is listed on each award-year page and application form.

No. Submission fees are non-refundable. Payment is for award consideration only and does not guarantee selection as a winner, runner-up, honorable mention, finalist, or other recognized participant.

Yes. Organizations that cannot pay by credit card may request an invoice by contacting awards@iothinktank.com.

IoThinkTank can work with organizations that require purchase-order or procurement processing. Contact the awards team before submitting so the required billing process can be coordinated within the award schedule.

Because award cycles operate on fixed deadlines, invoices are generally payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.

An entry is considered complete when the required application information has been submitted and payment has been received. Unpaid or materially incomplete entries may not be eligible for judging.
