About IoThinkTank
Recognizing Meaningful Innovation Across the Internet of Things
Independent Recognition for Technologies, Organizations, and Deployments Advancing the Connected World.
IoThinkTank is a private, independent awards and industry-recognition platform dedicated to identifying and recognizing practical innovation across the Internet of Things ecosystem. Its programs highlight technologies, organizations, deployments, and leaders that demonstrate measurable impact, credible execution, and real-world relevance.
Program Established
Established with the Best of 2023 Awards.
Recognition Platform
Awards are administered independently and judged on submitted merit.
Participation
Companies, public agencies, municipalities, institutions, and innovators may enter.
Award Portfolio
Categories change as new areas of IoT innovation emerge.
Our Purpose
Building a Credible Record of IoT Innovation
IoThinkTank was created to provide meaningful recognition for the organizations and technologies shaping the connected world. The program focuses on work that moves beyond broad promises and demonstrates how IoT is being applied to solve practical operational, technical, environmental, industrial, and societal challenges.
The awards program was established with the Best of 2023 Awards. Since then, IoThinkTank has expanded into focused categories spanning connected infrastructure, security, edge computing, industrial systems, environmental impact, agriculture, transportation, smart cities, health technology, connectivity, and emerging technologies.
IoThinkTank does not treat award categories as permanent simply because they have existed before. The IoT landscape changes quickly, and the program is designed to change with it. New categories may be introduced as meaningful areas of innovation emerge, while existing categories may be updated, consolidated, or retired when appropriate.
Program Principles
What Guides the IoThinkTank Awards
Practical Innovation
Strong entries demonstrate more than novelty. They show how connected technology improves operations, decision-making, services, safety, efficiency, resilience, or user outcomes.
Credible Evidence
Submissions are stronger when they include measurable results, deployment details, validation, adoption, benchmarks, customer evidence, or other support for their claims.
Category Relevance
Recognition reflects the natural fit between the submitted work and the purpose of the award. A strong technology must also make a credible case for the category in which it is entered.
Real-World Readiness
Execution, scalability, interoperability, security, deployment maturity, and practical usefulness are important parts of evaluating IoT innovation.
How It Works
From Submission to Public Recognition
Organizations Submit
Entrants select the relevant category and provide information about the organization, innovation, implementation, results, and supporting evidence.
Entries Are Reviewed
Eligible submissions are evaluated through a structured framework focused on innovation, measurable impact, execution, scalability, category alignment, and industry contribution.
Recognition Is Determined
IoThinkTank may name a winner and, when appropriate, recognize a runner-up, honorable mention, finalist, or co-winner. A category may close without a winner when credible recognition is not supported.
Winners Are Documented
Recognized organizations may receive a permanent winner profile, newsroom coverage, a category-specific badge, and inclusion in the IoThinkTank Winners Archive.
Judging Integrity
Structured, Independent, and Confidential
Submissions are evaluated through a structured scoring framework by an independent review panel with relevant IoT, technology, and industry experience. Panel composition may vary by category.
Judge identities are not routinely published in order to protect independence and reduce outside influence. Detailed scoring weights, individual scorecards, comparative rankings, internal reviewer notes, and deliberations remain confidential.
IoThinkTank does not routinely distribute numerical scoring or comparative rankings. Upon request, a brief qualitative summary of submission strengths and areas that could be strengthened may be provided, subject to reviewer availability.
